What happens when Karl Lagerfeld combines his love of music and fashion? An incredible explosion of music inspired accessories, that’s what! Our latest collection of Chanel new arrivals has us dancing in our shoes. We love the cheeky innovation of the lucite cassette clutch, patent record purse, and acrylic cassette buckle belt circa early 2000s. Fun and timelessly Chanel, we’re singing a tune to the beat of these new arrivals. Check out pictures of these pieces below and click here to shop more Chanel at Resurrection Vintage!
To celebrate our new Chanel arrivals including this biker beauty we thought now would be the perfect time to revisit legendary photographer Peter Lindbergh’s epic 1991 shoot for American Vogue, entitled Wild At Heart. The shoot references none other than the original Wild One, Marlon Brando. Lindbergh, along with the help of Vogue’s in-house style guru Grace Coddington, was able to transform the biggest supermodels of the day into biker priestesses of the highest order. Haute couture paired with leather, chains, and just the right amount of Schott detailing changed the way outlaw fashion was seen forever. Set in the gritty streets of NYC in the early 1990′s, and featuring a quiver of dreamy British bikes, the shoot is one of the decades most unforgettable. Oh, and don’t forget to thank our collective and formidable uncle Karl for designing the dream in the first place.
